AGIBOT launches four robots at WAIC 2026, including a humanoid built for eight-hour shifts

The Shanghai company says its newest machines are ready for factories, service desks, and classrooms, not just one-off demos. Here is what each one does and why that distinction matters.

A robot that dances beautifully for a crowd and a robot that shows up reliably every morning to sort tablets on a factory floor are two very different machines. AGIBOT, a Shanghai-based robotics company, is betting its future on the second kind.

At the World Artificial Intelligence Conference, known as WAIC, the company on Tuesday launched four products designed for real, sustained work rather than polished stage appearances. More than 30 AGIBOT machines were also running across the conference venues, guiding visitors and answering questions throughout the event.

"The industry should no longer judge embodied AI by whether a robot can complete an impressive demonstration once, but by whether it can be manufactured, delivered and integrated reliably into real operating environments," said Peng Zhihui, AGIBOT's co-founder and chief technology officer.

What does each new robot actually do?

The A3 Ultra is AGIBOT's main humanoid, built for long shifts in public and commercial spaces. At 1.74 metres tall and 60 kilograms, it carries up to 5 kilograms in each arm and runs for up to eight hours before needing a charge or a fresh battery. It uses a suite of cameras and sensors to move around independently, and its processing runs on an NVIDIA Thor chip, a powerful computer designed specifically for AI-heavy tasks.

The G2 Max is built for factories. It is a wheeled robot with force-controlled arms, meaning it can feel how hard it is gripping or pushing and adjust in real time, which matters when handling fragile components on a production line.

The OmniHand 3 Ultra-M is an artificial hand, about the weight of a large apple at 630 grams, with 20 independently moving joints. Fingertip sensors detect pressure and contact the way human skin does. It opens or closes in 0.3 seconds and can repeat precise movements to within 0.2 millimetres.

The X2 EDU is a smaller, 1.3-metre humanoid aimed at schools and research labs. Its modular design means students can take it apart and rebuild it.

AGIBOT also reported that its first factory deployment tells a concrete story. At Longcheer Technology's plant in Nanchang, G2 robots now handle quality inspection for tablets, collecting items, placing them precisely, interfacing with testing equipment and returning finished products. The company says setup took 36 hours, downtime stays below four percent, and the system inspects around 3,000 units per shift.

As first reported by The Robot Report, the company frames these deployments as the clearest evidence yet that its machines can slot into existing production lines without forcing a factory to redesign itself around the robot.

For patients in care settings, commuters in transport hubs, or workers on production lines, the practical question is whether these machines are reliable enough to matter day to day. AGIBOT's factory numbers are its own figures and have not been independently verified. But if the performance holds under external scrutiny, a robot that runs an eight-hour inspection shift alongside human colleagues starts to look less like a prototype and more like a tool.
