Frequently asked questions

Is AI news real news?

It can be. News produced with automation is real when the facts trace to real sources and errors get corrected in the open; it is fake when those anchors are missing. The production method does not decide it either way: sourcing and accountability do.

Is this website written by AI?

AI2Day uses automation openly: stories are researched from primary and established sources, rewritten for a mainstream reader, and pass automated editorial checks, with people owning the standards, the corrections process and this site. The full description is on the editorial policy page.

Do major news outlets use AI too?

Widely, and increasingly with disclosure: translations, summaries, market and sports reports, and research assistance are common uses across mainstream media. Most large outlets now publish AI usage policies; checking an outlet's own disclosure page beats guessing from its prose.

Why does AI news exist at all?

Because the AI beat moves faster than any human desk can cover alone, and because automation makes consistent, around-the-clock coverage affordable. Done openly and checked properly, it widens access to news; done lazily, it produces slop. The difference is process.

Can AI detect fake news?

Only partially. Automated systems catch known false claims and suspicious patterns at scale, but they misfire often enough that no serious outlet or reader should rely on a detector verdict alone. Cross-checking against named primary sources remains the dependable test.

Judge us by it

The standards above are only worth something if you can check them. Our process is public, our corrections are public, and every story links its source.
