Google wants to be the second screen on your couch this football season. In a blog post from Google, the company laid out a set of Search upgrades built around the NFL: a live in-game tracker, a bigger stats dashboard, and a direct link between your fantasy team and its AI chatbot.

What is the Live Game Feed?

It is a real-time recap page inside Google Search. Type the name of a game that is happening now, tap the red "Live" icon, and you get a running timeline of the match.

Inside that timeline you will see play-by-play updates, short video highlights, social media reactions, and AI-generated summaries, which is Google's chatbot writing a quick paragraph about how the game is going. Think of it as a scoreboard that talks back.

It is live now on mobile in the United States, in English, for professional football only. College teams and more countries are promised later this month.

How does the fantasy football link work?

You connect your Yahoo Fantasy or Sleeper account to Google's AI Mode, the conversational search feature that answers questions like a chatbot. Once linked, you can ask it who to start, who to drop, and who to grab off the waiver wire, and it pulls in your actual roster instead of making you type it out.

Google also says you can ask for a review of your draft or a weekly league recap.

The fantasy hookup is U.S.-only in English at launch. You give the tool permission to read your team; you can pull that permission back through your account settings.
